Spring is so in the air at KNS, green shoots of new life surround us in our lovely new venue Creed Street Theatre and Arts Centre. . Its warm, inspiring, and seemingly full of some gorgeous brand new KNS fans!! Yep we are feeling the love there. Tomorrow we will vote to stay or find another venue, but the conclusion seems pretty foregone. We have had some amazing feedback since being there, and the lovely folk at Creed Street have made us feel very very welcome.
So, what else has been going on..... Cake, always cake, and this week saw the birthday of KNS founder and chair Sarah. Sarah works so hard for our group, so we decided to treat her to Flowers, cards, and chocolate cake much to her embarrassment... HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL LADY!!
Junior Stitcher Katherine is working on a superb Show Me, Show Me Stuffy for her niece. A pattern of her own creation, and its turned out to be very very good. We are so proud to be able to support the handing down of skills to a younger generation within our group. Well done Katherine!
A newly engaged and very loved up Izzy returned to us from romantic travels in Paris with more of her beautiful crochet. Izzy supported Junior Stitcher Jasmine in starting some crochet of her own. This has started somewhat of a war between me and my daughter as we both battle to produce the best beginners crochet. ......we will see MWAH HA HA HA HAAA...
Smell the competition a I burn out a brain cell concentrating.....
The lovely Lesley appears to have been outstandingly busy, a Summer hat for the super cool and ever mischievous Summer...
And a Denim Peter Pan collar covered in pretty buttons.....
Some of our new fans, sniggering as coffee, cake, and really very random chat flowed.
Yep, our feet are firmly under Creed Streets table and we are enjoying the warmth that's definitely not just coming from the radiators. Just left to give huge thanks to to Creedys Danny who has been excellent in supporting our little community ventures move to Creed Street. The help with set up, pack up, and loaned PAP tested sewing machines have been invaluable. Looking forward to tomorrows session!
Big Love and Keep Stitching

Click, Click, Click, go the knitters, buzz, buzz, buzz, go the sewing bees
And chink, chink, chink goes the china as we sip our stitch club teas!
After the fabulous success of BBC2: The Great British Bake off, a new show has arrived to encourage the make do and mend brigade. The Great British Sewing Bee airs on BBC2 Tuesdays at 8pm. The show gives the candidates sewing challenges which they have to undertake and then they are judged - inevitably someone leaves the show, dwindling the numbers to a final winner. Some of our members are already avid watchers, cheering on their favourite candidates but did you know that one of our very own Knit Natter and Stitcher's auditioned for a place for this very show? Yes our Queen of Corsetry herself Charlotte Raine had a shot at fame on the show, but was considered far too talented, professional and over qualified.
Charlotte is one of the original members of the stitch club back in the days that the club ran from my house. She has made some amazing commissions for her clients, from Regency Spencer's to exquisite corsets. Do take a look at her work and blog about her interesting work:

And if that wasn't enough excitement - Lakeland Milton Keynes has opened! Right near our John Lewis store - Stitching and bakery only doors away.
Our very own Sewing Bee's, Super knitters and tea sippers were all excited to welcome new members Rachel and Sarah this week to Knit, Natter and Stitch! There was some yummy cake to accompany our chatter too.
Katherine and Jazz our Junior members are close to completing their current projects and there was another "Pay it forward" gift presented. Here is Lesley with her knitted scarf from Pat.
After such a great evening I leave you with a reminder that next week we will be running our session from the Creed Street Theatre and Arts Centre in Wolverton! From 7:30-9.30 pm downstairs - so please come along and see us. Bring along your project and have some yummy cake and tea!
Bye for now,
Sarah Gates

There was plenty of gorgeous knits, and Crochet fever continues....
Pat and Sarah were working away at their blankets.
Now that Sandra has sent her finished Fairy Cross stitch off to Creative Framing - she's wriggling on with this kit - what do you think? at the speed she stitches it'll be done by next week.
Eleanor played with the loom that Judi brought along and made these... how cute?
Bye for now,

Happy Easter! Chocolate eggs, Hot Cross Buns and stitching!
Happy Easter to all our KNS Fans!
Chocolate eggs and hot cross buns have arrived - Huzzah! Easter is here. I have to thank the KNS members for the wonderful cakes baked to fuel our evening of chatting, stitching and sharing, they were awesome!
I have to report that Crochet Fever is still upon us! I might be me but since Crochet relief a few of us have been enjoying the skill and exploring new idea's. Eleanor and Judi brought along some yarn and were working through the pattern for this gorgeous little chick. How sweet is he?
A few idea's for charity stitching are being mulled over at our last few sessions, something to raise funds for our local charities. If your interested in joining in, or have some idea's please come and see Sarah, Eleanor, Pat and Judi. Let's get on it!
I mentioned that Pat was enlightening me on Crochet pattern reading, well above is my first project a pink and grey baby shawl. Worked in James C Brett, Baby Marble DK shade BM10 from The Knitting Basket in Fenny Stratford. Elaine lives local to our group and very kindly offered to bring along another ball of yarn as I had run out! Service with a smile - Thanks Elaine.
During the session we welcomed a new member to KNS, Adam came along with his work. A beautiful sketch which he was stitching over the outlines exquisitely. It was a very chilly evening and despite best efforts to heat the community centre room we all got a bit cold - which leads me on to current news.
Following discussions at our recent Committee meeting, we have arranged for the sessions to take place in the Creed Street Theatre and Arts Centre in Wolverton from Monday 15th April for four weeks. We will be using the downstairs Concourse area from 7:30 - 9:30pm each Monday. So no stairs! Unfortunately it has got to a point where it is too cold to continue operating in NB Community Centre and so we will hold a 4 week trial in Wolverton. We will then hold a general meeting to discuss and vote as to if we will stay in Wolverton.
So back to Stitching and Creativity: Heres a pic of the cute little peg bag rustled up by our Lesley, I think I will be putting an order in for one.
Thank you to the hardcore stitchers that made it to the session, I hope your all enjoying a wonderful Easter break. See you all back springy like baby lambs ready for our next session in New Bradwell on Monday 8th April.
Happy Easter Stitching!

Barbara worked on some alterations to this vintage skirt for ther daughter.
Our friend Jane of Smallbeans joined us for the evening, how chuffed were we to see her - LOTS! Jane brought along some printing and embroidery work. So inspiring!
