Sue Myhill embarked on this design, working her stitches over the fabric to create a stunning finished work, such an effective way method. Watch this space - Sue will be running a demonstration during June using similar techniques so if this project inspired you, come along and have a go!

Our stitching circle of friends have sure been busy; Sam has been tending to Evie's 17th Century clothes ready for the Sealed Knot Season ahead, whilst Sandra has now finished her felt Christmas Stocking and moved onto a lovely bracelet project.
I finished my Drop in the Pond crochet blanket, completed by watching the online video tutorials at
http://www.youtube.com/user/Bethintx1 .I haven't been crocheting long, but found these tutorials very easy to follow and you can pause and replay sections. Amelie is very pleased with her bright blanket; have you used online tutorials? post them and your results on our facebook page, or comment on this blog.
There have been some fabulous cakes appearing at our sessions recently, you all are so talented and boy are they yummy! Thank you to all those members whose multi-talented cake baking has been graciously enjoyed. Don't forget if you sign up to bake at a session you get in FREE!
Pat's really cooking with gas, since her return from her operation - she's been wearing her hooks out running up these lovely contributions to a bunting project. And Judi joined us in a break to her City and Guilds with the wonderful Jane Charles, to work on some of her embroidery, I didn't get a close up shot but Judi showed us a piece where organza and other bits of material had been stitched together using a soluble layer of film, golden spirals of stitching with delicate textures layered underneath - simply stunning and inspiring!
This weeks session was enjoyed in the lovely 1908 theatre inside Creed, we admired the wooden floor, the beautiful theatre surround and atmosphere. Our Bank Holiday treat - lemon drizzle cupcakes by Eleanor and for those who missed it this week, we unfortunately will not be running next Monday 3rd June as there is a magical production taking place in our usual tearoom spot. So we will see you back at Creed on Monday 10th June.
Also you will have missed my notice inviting you to our AGM, which will take place during our usual Monday session on Monday 24th June. We will be looking to adopt a new committee and agree a group constitution, so please let me know if you would like me to email you the invitation for the AGM, copy of the suggested constitution and nomination slips at kns@buckspoint.org.uk.
Happy half term!
Love Sarah
